Ola Bilińska + Ola Rzepka
Ola Bilińska & Ola Rzepka – versatile instrumentalists and composers with not only vast experience in music education and promotion but also a remarkable ability to connect with audiences of all ages.
Ola Bilińska has performed in a wide array of bands, including Mitch and Mitch Orchestra and Choir, Babadag, Bye Bye Butterfly, Muzyka Końca Lata, Nachum, Płyny, Horny Trees, and Rara. As a vocalist, for a decade now, she has been reviving traditional Jewish songs in Yiddish. She was awarded with Folkowy Fonogram Roku by the Polish Radio Program 2 for her album Berjozkele – kołysanki i pieśni wieczorne jidysz [Berjozkele – lullabies and evening songs in Yiddish] featuring original arrangements of pre-war lullabies. She also composes music for theatrical performances and films. In addition to performing, she conducts music workshops for children, teenagers, and adults.
Ola Rzepka is a percussionist and pianist. She is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. She teaches piano improvisation at a second-degree music school, alongside providing individual lessons and conducting music workshops. She collaborated, among others, with Raphael Rogiński and Antoni Ziut Gralak. She is a founder of the Drekoty group and the DEAE duo. She composes music for theatrical performances. She performed at most of the Polish festivals of avant-garde, entertainment, jazz, improvised, and contemporary music.
