This composer and violinist from Gdańsk, with three well-received solo albums to his name, began composing at the age of 16, initially focusing on liturgical music. His work merges classical chamber music with contemporary experimental influences, incorporating various forms of electronica, glitch aesthetics and minimalism. He is a co-founder of the duo Nanook of the North, along with Piotr Kaliński.

His album Rite of the End was voted the best album of 2017 in a poll conducted by Gazeta Wyborcza and the international portal Beehy.pe, and it also brought him a nomination for a Polityka Passport award.

Composing film music constitutes an important part of Wesołowski's work. He wrote the scores for Stevan Riley's documentary about Marlon Brando, titled Listen to Me Marlon (2015), and for the Irish production Wolf (2021) by Nathalie Biancheri. He has also collaborated with Polish filmmakers, including writing the music for director Kuba Mikurda's award-winning films Love Express: The Disappearance of Walerian Borowczyk (Love Express. Przypadek Waleriana Borowczyka, 2018) and Ucieczka na Srebrny Glob (Escape to the Silver Globe, 2021). More recently, he has worked with Jan P. Matuszyński on Minghun (2024) and the series Przesmyk (The Easterngate), which will premiere at the beginning of 2025.

Wesołowski's standing in the world of film music is on the rise, with his music for silent movies highly valued by both himself and audiences alike. His soundtrack for Carl Theodor Dreyer's film The Passion of Joan of Arc (La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc, 1928), commissioned by the Timeless Film Festival, is due to be performed in Argentina in April 2025. In the meantime, he is currently working on his next solo album.

His performance at the opening of this year's Silent Movie Festival marks his second appearance at the event: he previously inaugurated the 16th edition in 2019 with a live score accompanying Richard Oswald's The Hound of the Baskervilles (Der Hund von Baskerville, 1929).
