Artur Rumiński

This Sosnowiec-born guitarist has contributed to over 20 albums in various projects with ARRM, Furia, Thaw, Gruzja, Mentor, Moral Breach and Marmur, among others. Starting out in punk rock, he is known today for his work in dark genres of guitar-based and experimental music (including black metal, ambient, drone, doom, noise and psychedelia).

Composing under his own name, he often publishes his recordings in limited-edition cassette format. His solo projects focus on minimalist forms, with an economical approach to crafting an intimate, dreamlike and reflective world, occasionally drawing on echoes of psychedelia, as well as nods to world music and film scores.

In late 2023, the album Doom Service was released under the name Marmur – a result of Rumiński's collaboration with Macio Moretti – which explored, as the promotional material read, "the aesthetics of soundscapes, disintegrating juicers, piezoelectric chaos, and mites at 10,000x magnification". He recently worked on the album Fading Backwards by the black metal band Thaw, and following his performance at the Silent Movie Festival, he will embark on a December tour with Polish metal stalwarts Furia.
