MARIO FORTE / ERNST REIJSEGER

Mario Forte is a French-Italian violinist, graduate of the Paris Conservatoire, first prize winner of the 2018 Zbigniew Seifert International Jazz Violin Competition, best recognised for his versatility and free movement between different musical genres. While living in New York, he has collaborated with musicians such as Mark Feldman, Matt Hollenberg and many others from John Zorn's music scene such as Richard Bona, Kevin Hays, Al MacDowell, Anat Cohen, David Gilmore, Samson Schmitt and Clarence PENN.

Ernst Reijseger - cellist and composer, the creative partner of poets, dancers, actors, painters, sculptors, photographers and filmmakers. He has created soundtracks for films by Werner Herzog, Alex and Andrew Smith and many documentaries.

In 2017, he wrote and performed his music for Shakespeare's Hamlet (starring Oscar Isaac, Keegan Michael Key and Gayle Rankin, directed by Sam Gold) at The Public Theatre in New York. For more than a decade, Reijseger has been associated with the Reijseger/Fraanje/Sylla trio. His solo concerts consist of his personal compositions and improvisations.
