Bartosz Dworak & Mateusz Gawęda

Bartosz Dworak is a violinist and composer, and a laureate of the prestigious Seifert Competition. Able to play a variety of musical genres, he has collaborated with such artists as Kayah, Andrzej Krzywy, Atom String Quartet, Grażyna Auguścik, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Monika Borzym, Wojtek Klich, Janusz Stefański and Maciej Strzelczyk. Currently, he draws much of his inspiration from electronic music, and is constantly searching for new possibilities for improvising on the violin.

Mateusz Gawęda is a pianist and composer. Co-founder of the Pezda/Gawęda Duo, the Mateusz Gawęda Trio, PeGaPoFo, the Cracow Jazz Collective and Silberman, whose repertoire consists mainly of his own compositions, he has released 12 albums, including five as the leader. The Mateusz Gawęda Trio’s album Overnight Tales was nominated for a Fryderyk 2017 award in the Jazz category – for Phonographic Debut of the Year.
