Atom String Quartet, feat. Marcin Albert Steczkowski
This award-winning string quartet are among the most intriguing jazz groups in Poland. For the musicians of the Atom String Quartet, the classical formation of a chamber ensemble is merely the starting point in their search for new solutions in sound and form, which they combine with improvisation in its broadest sense. Their songs contain inspirations from jazz, Polish folk and world music, as well as classical and contemporary composers. They will perform at the festival in the experimental, and not-exactly-string, line-up of Dawid Lubowicz (violin), Mateusz Smoczyński (violin), Michał Zaborski (viola), Krzysztof Lenczowski (cello) and Marcin Albert Steczkowski (cornet).
