Księżyc

Drawing on theatre practices (Grotowski, Gardzienice), folk rituals and minimalism, Księżyc was undoubtedly a unique phenomenon on the Polish music scene in the 1990s. The albums released at that time (Nów and Księżyc) are a perfect summary of the group's achievements, showing off their stylistic distinctiveness. Following repeated requests from various records labels, numerous invitations from festival organisers and their ever-growing legions of fans, Księżyc returned to playing in 2014 – after a break of nearly two decades. A year later, the British label Penultimate Press released their latest album, Rabbit Eclipse, to great reviews. The band continues to play concerts, all the time searching for new contexts and means of expression.
