Joanna Duda

Joanna Duda is a pianist and composer active in the field of jazz and improvisation, but also very experienced in electronic music and minimalism. Also a composer for theatre, she has been collaborating with the Amareya dance theatre in Gdańsk since 2013, and she has also worked with Wojciech Mazolewski since his quintet’s debut album Smells Like Tape Spirit (2011). In 2015, Duda teamed up with Jan Młynarski under the moniker J=J in order to create music blending synth electronica and jazz improvisation. The result of their collaboration was the album Love, released in 2016 on the Lado ABC record label. Duda will perform solo at the Silent Movie Festival. During the Silent Movie Festival, the pianist will perform solo, playing the music for the film Das Geheimschloss aka Miss Clever versus the Black Hand. (JB)
