Miłosz Pękala and Magdalena Kordylasińka-Pękala are virtuosos of the marimba, vibraphone and any other percussion instrument imaginable. This is evident both on Miłosz Pękala’s solo album entitled Monoperkusja (2018) and also the couple’s releases as part of the Kwadrofonik ensemble. The duo have made two albums together - Pieces for Percussion and Electroacoustic Devices (2016) and Modular (2018). Pękala and Kordylasińska-Pękala specialise in 20th and 21st century music, with particular emphasis on minimalism and electroacoustic music. They have premiered dozens of compositions and collaborated with the likes of Adam Strug, Artur Rojek, Felix Kubin, Barbara Kinga Majewska and Mitch & Mitch. The artist will perform the music for the movie Our Hospitality. (JB)
