Vocalist Joanna Longić and pianist and composer Hanna Raniszewska create music that perfectly matches the name of their band ('Yearning'). Tęskno’s lyrics and string arrangements exude both lyricism and melancholy. Standing on the crossroads between pop and chamber music, Longić and Raniszewska compose music that doesn’t follow fashion or hide behind irony. Their debut album, Mi, was released in the autumn of 2018 on the PIAS label to critical acclaim. In recent months, the artists have been extremely active, especially Raniszewska, who has been working on the latest Kamp! and Misia Furtak records, as well as announcing her own solo release. Especially for this festival, the artists will prepare the music for the movie The Kidnapping of Fux the Banker. (JB)
